Release Notes DLC pro 3.1.1
======================
Firmware             3.1.0
PC-GUI               3.1.1
System Software      6.2.0

- For TOPO systems operated using the touch UI: If you observe that digits are
  missing in the Wavelength Control Mode, turn the related rotary knob while
  pushing it. This changes the font size of the displayed number and brings back
  missing digits, too.
  (DLCPRO-5561)

- The data recorder used for the Wide Scan Mode may miss some data points if the
  frequency of recording is very high (more than 100 kHz). This frequency may be
  changed indirectly using the scan speed or the number of datapoints
  laser1:recorder:sample-count-set, which is accessible in the Params tab of the
  PC GUI.
  (DLCPRO-4255)

- In Wide Scan it is currently not possible to measure the CTL power, as there is no
  real-time calculation of the wavelength dependent sensitivity of the photo diode.
  Instead, it is possible to record the photo diode signal that includes no
  calibration. PowerLock does use wavelength dependent calibration for the internal
  photo diode, and the output power at the photo diode is indeed constant.

Before updating a DLC pro, please take a moment to find out if we recommend
actions, e.g. due to irreversible changes during the update.

The discussions below are ordered by the effected releases, i.e. the DLC pro
Firmware before updating. To find out which firmware is installed on a DLC pro,
e.g. go to the Home screen and access the Information screen, which lists the
"Firmware Version". Please use this number to find and follow relevant notes
before you update a DLC pro.

Updating from Firmware 1.8.1 or lower:
======================================
- For SHG and FHG systems: before updating from Release 1.8.1 or lower to Release
  1.9.0 or higher please set the D parameter of slowPID to zero. If needed (lower
  power or increased noise), repeat the optimization of the lock setting of the SHG
  cavity and in case of a FHG the second doubling stage afterwards. To do this,
  please follow the instructions for this routine but please do keep the D parameter
  at zero throughout this procedure.
  (DLCPRO-4186)

Updating from Firmware 1.6.3 or lower:
======================================
- For SHG and FHG systems with AutoAlign: After reboot of the DLC pro controller,
  AutoAlign Servos are set to the last saved value. This may result in insufficient
  output power when updating the software from release DLC pro 1.6 or lower to release
  DLC pro 1.7 or higher. To circumvent this problem, press the “save” button before
  the software update.
  Additionally, please set the following parameters:
  laser1:nlo:power-optimization:stage1:autosave-actuator-values
  laser1:nlo:power-optimization:stage2:autosave-actuator-values
  laser1:nlo:power-optimization:stage3:autosave-actuator-values
  laser1:nlo:power-optimization:stage4:autosave-actuator-values
  laser1:nlo:power-optimization:stage5:autosave-actuator-values
  to true (requires maintenance user level) and execute laser1:save after the FW update.
  In this way, the servo values are saved, i.e. overwritten, after each successful
  AutoAlign procedure.
  (DLCPRO-3430)

Updating from Firmware 1.4.0 or lower:
======================================
- For SHG Systems: When updating from Release 1.4 or lower to 1.5, the PID-gain
  values of the SHG cavity lock are automatically changed such that the lock behavior
  remains the same despite the adjustments while ensuring that their values represent
  actual physical units. When updating directly from 1.0 or lower to 1.6 or higher the
  scaling needs to be applied manually:
  - PID 1: P, I and D need to be divided by 8 while All needs to be divided by 16.
  - PID 2: P, I, D and All need to be divided by 8.
  When downgrading a SHG system from 1.5 or higher to 1.4 or lower, this scaling needs
  to be reversed manually because this scaling is not un-done during the down-grade.
  Either re-insert values manually (reverse the scaling above) or find the optimum
  values as described in the manual.
  (DLCPRO-2348)

Updating from Release 1.3.2 or lower:
=====================================
- The sensitivity of the PID parameters of the frequency lock is corrected with
  release 1.4.0 to match physical units. To ensure the same lock performance
  after an upgrade from 1.3.2 or lower to 1.4.0 or higher increase "PID 1 Gain"
  and "PID 2 Gain" by a factor of 10 each.
